We cut this short-sleeve shirt from airy chiffon with an open lapel collar and clean button front. The Pink Coconut Tree print runs across the body and sleeves, giving the plain weave a soft pattern. It hangs straight through the torso and works buttoned up or open over a light camisole.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Lapel collar and front buttons
The notched lapel sits flat against the collarbone without stiff interfacings. A clean front placket fastens with small tonal buttons so you can fasten it high or wear it unbuttoned over swimwear.
Raglan short sleeves
We shaped the short sleeves with diagonal raglan seams running up to the collar. This removes the rigid seam across the top of the shoulder and lets the lightweight chiffon drape smoothly down the upper arm.
Chiffon weave
The fabric is an unlined, plain-woven chiffon that remains thin and sheer against light. It packs down small for travel, holds very little water, and dries fast after washing.
Straight hem and laundering
The hem is cut straight across to sit loose over shorts or tuck into high-waisted linen trousers. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle or hand wash, then line dry to preserve the print.
