We cut this short-sleeve shirt from an airy chiffon that hangs loose and catches the breeze. The front fastens with a row of small buttons beneath an open lapel collar, while raglan sleeve seams keep the shoulders relaxed. It works buttoned on its own or worn open over a tank.

The details we cut in
Open lapel collar
The notched collar lies flat against the neck without stiff interfacing. It frames an open neckline and leads down into a clean, single-stitched button placket that fastens securely down the front.
Raglan sleeve cut
We set the short sleeves on an angled raglan seam rather than a standard shoulder hole. This removes bulk across the top of the arm and lets the lightweight cloth drape naturally.
Lightweight chiffon weave
The fabric is a sheer, lightweight chiffon with a soft matte hand. It floats over the body without clinging, drying quickly in warm air and taking up almost no room in a packed bag.
Care and wash
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle or wash by hand to protect the fine chiffon yarns. Skip the bleach and hang the shirt on a line to air dry so the print stays crisp.
