We cut these trousers with a wide, straight leg that falls straight from the front pleats to the hem. The twill suiting has a light hand and steady drape, dyed here in deep navy blue. A clean front zip and button close the waist, backed with elastic along the rear.

The details we cut in
Cut and front pleats
We set deep front pleats below the mid-rise waistband so the legs break cleanly and hang straight. The wide hem stays open over low shoes or boots.
Waistband and closure
A single button and front zip secure the flat waistband in front. We gathered elastic across the back band to keep the waist seated without shifting throughout the day.
Pockets and side seams
Two slant pockets sit along the side seams, deep enough for small items. We stitched the pocket bags flat inside so the navy fabric lies smooth across the hip.
Fabric and care
The lightweight suit twill weaves fine yarns with stretch for ease of movement. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, skip the bleach, and press with a low iron to lift transit folds.
