We cut this long dress from a soft ribbed knit with generous give through the torso. It follows the line of the body before easing out slightly below the knee. The blue green yarn gives a rich, muted tone across the vertical ribs.

Crew neckline

The neck is bound flat with self-fabric so it sits smooth against the collarbone. It holds its shape without pulling or gaping when you pull it on over the head.

Fitted ribbed knit

We chose a vertical rib stitch with substantial stretch across the width. The knit recovers well after wear and moves easily with your stride throughout the day.

Lower hem flare

The skirt stays close through the hip and thigh, then widens gently toward the bottom hem. That slight bell shape allows unhindered walking without needing a high side slit.

Cold water care

Wash this piece on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar shades. Lay it flat to dry on a rack so the weight of the knit does not stretch the hem out of line.
