We knit this ribbed winter cap with a double-layer build. The textured outer yarn gives it an easy stretch across the head, while a brushed fleece interior sits flat against the brow. You can wear the cuff deep or roll it shallow depending on where you want the edge to sit.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Double layer lining
Inside the rib knit outer shell sits a full fleece lining. It adds a second layer of dense loft without stiffening the crown of the hat.
Foldover cuff
We finished the lower edge with a wide roll-up cuff. You can adjust the fold higher or lower to set the coverage over the ears and forehead.
Rib knit yarn
The outer stitch is a textured rib using blended yarns. It holds enough horizontal give to pull on easily and recover its shape when taken off.
Cold wash care
Machine wash this cap on a gentle cold cycle to preserve the knit tension. Tumble dry on a low heat setting or dry it flat.
