We knit this cuffed beanie with a textured outer rib and a soft fleece interior. The double-layered construction adds loft without stiffness, and the turn-up cuff lets you adjust the depth over the ears. Royal blue yarn gives the ribbed stitch clear definition across the crown.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Double layer build
The outer shell is knit from a ribbed yarn that stretches easily, while the interior is lined in brushed fleece. This creates two distinct layers that hold their shape and block cold air.
Turn up cuff
We finished the base with a wide folding cuff. You can wear it rolled deep over the ears on cold days, or unroll it slightly to change where the knit sits across the brow.
Royal blue knit
The royal blue shade shows off the vertical ribbing and crown seams. We dye the yarn before knitting so the solid tone stays consistent across the stretch of the ribs.
Washing and care
Machine wash the beanie on a gentle cold cycle with similar knitwear. Tumble dry on a low heat setting, or lay it flat on a towel so the ribbed crown keeps its shape.
