We cut these sweatpants with a distinct barrel leg that arcs out slightly at the knee before tapering toward the ankle. Inside, the fabric is brushed for a soft, lofted fleece feel against the legs. An elastic waist with a functional drawstring keeps the fit secure without pinching.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Barrel leg cut
The outseam curves outward through the thigh and calf, then gently gathers back toward the hem. This shape gives the heavy knit room to drape without pooling underfoot.
Lofted fleece interior
We chose a fleece-backed knit that traps warmth through cold mornings. The interior is brushed soft, while the outer face remains smooth and matte black.
Waistband and cord
The waistband combines internal elastic with an adjustable drawstring cord. It sits flat across the front and stays in place when you move.
Deep side pockets
Two inset side pockets are cut deep into the side seams. They hold a phone or keys without distorting the clean line of the hip.
