We cut these French knicker bottoms from smooth, lightweight satin in Pearl White. The thin elastic waistband sits low on the hips to keep bulk down. Continuous lace borders the leg openings all the way around, creating an easy, loose hem for sleeping or layering under light summer skirts.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Lace hem trim
The scalloped lace band runs continuously around the entire lower edge of each leg. It hangs loose against the thigh without gripping or pulling at the side seams.
Low-rise waistband
We built the waistband with a narrow, flexible elastic channel that sits flat across the hip line. It holds the lightweight satin securely without pinching or bunching under clothing.
Satin fabric drape
The satin weave gives these bottoms a smooth face and a fluid drape. In this pale Pearl White shade, the fabric reflects light softly and works well over neutral base layers.
Washing and care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to protect the fine openwork of the lace trim. Line dry naturally away from direct heat, and use a cool iron if needed.
