We cut these mini shorts from smooth satin patterned in navy blue polka dot. The hem is bordered with fine lace that runs continuously around both leg openings. A soft, thin elastic band settles flat at the waist without extra bulk.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Lace hem border
The leg openings are trimmed with lace that wraps completely from the front to the back of the hem. It adds a light finish to the lower edge while letting the satin fabric drape loosely around the leg.
Thin elastic waist
We gathered the waist on a narrow elastic band that holds its place without heavy hardware. The waistband sits flat against the torso and keeps the shorts easy to pull on for lounging or layering.
Satin drape and print
The base is a light, smooth satin with a fluid hand that catches the light gently. We printed this version in a classic navy blue polka dot ground that pairs well with loose tees and knit sweaters.
Cold wash care
Machine wash on a gentle cycle with cold water to protect the lace trim and smooth face of the weave. Line dry out of direct sunlight and press with a low iron if needed.
