We cut these mini lounge shorts from smooth black satin with a fluid, lightweight drape. A pale lace trim runs all the way around each leg opening, contrasting against the dark fabric. The waistband is threaded with a narrow elastic band that sits flat without bunching.

The details we cut in
White lace trim
A continuous band of white floral lace borders each leg opening from front to back. The scalloped edge sits loose against the thigh, adding contrast to the dark black satin base.
Low rise waist
We built the waist with a thin, flexible elastic band. It rests low on the hips and holds in place without heavy gathering or stiff bulk around the middle.
Satin fabric drape
The woven satin has a glossy face that slides smoothly under longer layers or dresses. The lightweight weave hangs loose through the leg for ease of movement at home.
Care instructions
Wash in cold water on a gentle machine cycle with similar dark colors. Line dry away from direct heat to protect the lace edge, and use a low iron on the reverse side if needed.
