We knit this pullover with a traditional patterned yoke across the chest and shoulders. The body hangs straight to a ribbed bottom hem, with raglan sleeve seams that give plenty of room across the upper back. The yarn is thick enough for cool air without feeling stiff.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Crewneck and yoke
The rounded crew neckline sits close to the collarbone with a sturdy ribbed band. Below it, the dark green patterned knit extends across the shoulders to set the proportions of the chest.
Raglan sleeve cut
We joined the sleeves with diagonal raglan seams running from the neck down under the arm. This construction removes the shoulder ridge so you can pull a heavier coat directly over the top.
Ribbed cuffs and hem
The cuffs and bottom hem are finished with wide rib knitting that holds its shape. The hem rests on the hip line without gripping tight, allowing a collared shirt or light tee underneath.
Care and drying
Hand wash cold or use a gentle cycle with the sweater tucked inside a wash bag. Reshape the damp knit and lay it flat on a dry towel to preserve the stitch shape and avoid shrinkage.
