We cut this button-down blouse from a lightweight cotton and polyester blend in solid khaki. An open lace applique sits along the collar and runs over the shoulder line. The body hangs straight to a curved hem that tucks cleanly into trousers or hangs loose over denim.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Shoulder and neckline lace
Open lace inserts frame the collar band and extend across both shoulder pieces. The needlework is backed with sturdy stitching so the trim lies flat against the yoke without pulling or fraying.
Cotton blend cloth
We chose a cotton-rich plain weave blended with polyester for body and light drape. The fabric breathes well during long work shifts, softens after washing, and holds its khaki tone through regular wear.
Sleeve and cuff finish
Long sleeves end in neat button cuffs that hold at the wrist or roll up past the forearm. We set the armholes with room to move under a cardigan or jacket.
Care and pressing
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang dry or tumble dry low. The cotton content will show gentle crinkles out of the wash; press with a low iron across the body and over the lace.
