We cut this button down shirt from a lightweight cotton blend with a soft hand. The body falls straight to a curved hem, finished with lace applique set into the neckline and shoulder seams. Buttoned cuffs keep the long sleeves tidy when layered under a knit cardigan or a jacket.

The details we cut in

Lace collar detail

Lace applique frames the neckline and anchors along the shoulder seams. The neat turn-down collar buttons down the front placket, keeping the lace flat against the chest rather than puckering.

Sleeve and cuff

The long sleeves are set with standard armholes and finish in buttoned cuffs. You can button them at the wrist or roll them up the forearm when working.

Cotton blend weave

We chose a cotton-rich blend that gives the shirt a light, breathable body with a crisp drape. In sage green, the weave shows a soft, even texture that softens further after a few washes.

Wash and care

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Hang the shirt to dry or tumble dry on low heat. Cotton blends will show some natural creasing after washing, so press with a low iron to smooth.
