We cut this long sleeve shirt from a lightweight cotton-blend fabric in a red gingham weave. Openwork lace applique accents the neckline and shoulder seams, giving texture to the yoke. The body falls straight through to the hem so you can wear it loose over trousers or tucked into a waistband.

The details we cut in
Neckline and lace
Lace applique is sewn along the collar line and extends over the shoulders. It sits flat against the collarbone without pulling at the button placket, adding openwork detail to the front yoke.
Sleeve and cuff
The full-length sleeves are cut with room through the arm and finish in standard buttoned cuffs. You can wear them fastened at the wrist or roll them up the forearm.
Red gingham weave
The yarn-dyed red check is woven from a cotton-blend base that keeps its shape through regular wash and wear. It holds a soft hand without feeling heavy across the chest.
Washing and care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and hang dry or tumble dry on low heat. Because of the high cotton content, press with a low-heat iron to smooth out natural wash wrinkles.
