We cut this mid-layer jacket from a dense, anti-pill microfleece in dark gray. It zips straight up to a tall stand collar without a hood, so it sits flat under heavy rain shells or works on its own. Six separate pockets hold daily items securely.

The details we cut in
Collar and front zip
A full front zipper runs directly up through the stand collar to close the neck against cold drafts. The teeth glide smoothly and lay flat when left unzipped across the chest.
Six pocket build
We built this coat with six pockets in total, combining deep internal drop pockets with secure zippered hand pockets outside. The reinforced seams keep keys, cards, and phones firmly in place.
Elastic cuffs and hem
The sleeve openings and the bottom hem finish with gathered elastic binding. This keeps the fleece close to the wrists and hips so the jacket stays put during long walks.
Microfleece fabric and care
The dense polyester fleece offers loft without heavy bulk, resisting surface pilling over repeated use. Wash on a gentle cold cycle and tumble dry on low to preserve the nap.
