We cut this mid-layer from lofted navy microfleece that stays soft without packing down into heavy bulk. The front runs on a full zipper right up to a stand collar that sits close at the neck. Six dedicated pockets give you places for gear, while the hoodless profile sits flat under rain shells.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Six pocket construction
We set reinforced zippered pockets into the outer front seam and built deep storage drops into the inner panels. The interior pouches sit flat against the body so your carry stays secure without dragging the front hem down.
Microfleece knit
The polyester microfleece is brushed for a soft nap and finished to resist surface pilling through regular wear. It traps warm air in the loft while staying lightweight enough to pull on under a shell coat.
Stand collar and cuffs
The collar stands upright when fully zipped to cover the base of the neck. We bound the wrist cuffs with narrow elastic to hold the long sleeves over the wrists and stop drafts from running up your arms.
Care and maintenance
Machine wash this jacket in cold water on a gentle cycle to keep the fleece fibers soft. Tumble dry on low heat or hang it flat, avoiding bleach or fabric softeners that flatten the nap.
