The details we cut in
Square neckline
The neck is cut wide and square across the chest and back, finished with a clean turned edge that sits flat against the collarbone without pulling.
Smocked bodice
Parallel lines of elastic thread gather the torso from below the neckline down to the high waist. This gives the body stretch and texture before the fabric falls into the flared lower hem.
Puff sleeve
We gathered the sleeve head at the shoulder seam and finished the cuff with light elastication to hold the puff shape above the elbow.
