We cut this tunic with stitched pleats running down from the round collar to give the front panel extra ease. The sleeves end in elastic smocking finished with a short ruffle. It falls into a curved shirttail hem that sits cleanly over trousers.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Pleated neckline
Small stitched pleats drop from the round neckband down across the chest. They open into soft folds through the torso so the lightweight knit cloth hangs away from the body without pulling across the shoulders.
Smocked ruffle cuffs
The long sleeves gather at the wrist with narrow bands of elastic smocking. A short self-fabric ruffle flares past the cuff to keep the sleeve in place when pushed up the forearm.
Curved tunic hem
We shaped the lower edge into a gentle curve that dips lower at the front and back than the side seams. It stays untucked over jeans or sits flat under an unbuttoned jacket.
Red white floral print
The red and white pattern is printed directly onto a lightweight polyester and cotton knit blended with stretch. Wash it cold on a gentle cycle and hang it flat on a line to dry.
