We cut this mini skirt with a straight pencil profile and built-in shorts underneath for easy movement. The stretch fabric gives smoothly without pulling across the hips. It sits flat at the waist and finishes well above the knee in a warm brown leopard pattern.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Integrated inner shorts
Underneath the outer pencil skirt, we added a pair of fitted shorts in the same stretch material. They stay in place when you sit or walk without bunching up beneath the outer layer.
Mini pencil hem
The outer skirt is cut straight and short, ending mid-thigh. We finished the lower edge with a clean turned hem that holds its line against the inner layer.
Stretch knit fabric
The material is a lightweight knit with generous horizontal stretch. It recovers well after sitting, lets air through in warm weather, and packs down small in a bag.
Brown leopard print
The warm tan base is printed with irregular dark brown and black rosettes. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and line dry to keep the print crisp.
