We cut this mini skort with a pencil profile and integrated stretch shorts underneath the outer shell. The black fabric carries an even polka dot print throughout. It sits close through the hips, finished with flat interior seams to keep the line smooth when you walk.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Integrated inner shorts
The inner shorts are sewn directly into the waistband using soft, stretchy jersey. They stay put underneath the outer shell, giving you full coverage without adding bulk along the hip line.
Pencil cut and hem
We gave the outer skirt a fitted pencil line that finishes well above the knee. The hem is turned and stitched flat so it sits straight against the leg rather than curling upward.
Polka dot stretch cloth
The base cloth has substantial stretch that recovers its shape after sitting. We printed it with clean white dots set against solid black, offering a crisp pattern that will not thin out when stretched.
Waistband and wash care
An elasticated waist sits flat against the lower torso without hardware or zippers. Machine wash on a cold, gentle cycle with similar dark colors, then hang to dry to keep the stretch intact.
