We cut this mini skirt with a straight pencil line and integrated jersey shorts underneath for full coverage. The stretch fabric pulls on smooth over the hips and recovers well after wear. It falls high on the thigh, patterned in a warm yellow leopard spot.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Integrated shorts lining
We sew a lightweight, stretchy pair of shorts directly into the inner waistband. They stay in place beneath the outer skirt panel to keep the short hem practical when you walk or sit.
Straight mini hem
The outer skirt is cut straight across the lower edge to keep the classic pencil profile. It sits high above the knee, finished with clean folded stitching that lies flat against the leg.
Stretch knit fabric
We chose a soft, light jersey blend with high elastic recovery. The knit moves easily as you stride, holds its shape throughout the evening, and breathes well in warm weather.
Yellow leopard print
The print sets black and brown markings across a warm yellow ground. Wash on a cold, gentle machine cycle with like colours, then line dry to preserve the print clarity and the stretch fibres.
