We paired an oversized crewneck top with wide-leg trousers cut from a fleece-backed knit. The interior surface is brushed for warmth without heavy bulk. A flat drawstring sits inside the waist casing, leaving the outer band clean, while deep side pockets take care of small essentials.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Crew neckline and drop shoulder

The top is cut without a hood to sit flat under outerwear. We dropped the shoulder seams and widened the chest for an easy drape that layers cleanly over an undershirt or tank.

Brushed fleece interior

We chose a knit with a smooth outer face and a lofted fleece backing. It holds body heat through cool drafts while hanging straight down the leg without cling or stiffness.

Adjustable foldover waistband

The elastic waist houses an interior drawstring so the line stays flat across the front. You can wear the casing straight up or turn it down to bring the drawcord outside.

Wide leg and side pockets

The trousers run straight and wide from the hip down to an open hem. We set pockets into the side seams deep enough to keep a phone from pulling the fabric forward.
