We cut this two-piece set from fleece-backed jersey for warmth without heavy bulk. The crewneck top hangs loose through the body and dropped shoulders, while the matching trousers fall wide to the ankle. An internal cord lets you wear the waistband upright or turned down.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Crewneck top

We shaped the pullover with a classic crew neckline and dropped shoulders, leaving off the hood to keep the collar line flat under coats. The body cut is roomy enough to layer over a tank.

Wide leg cut

The trousers run straight and wide from hip to hem, creating a clean drape through the legs. Deep side pockets sit along the seam lines to hold small items without pulling on the waistband.

Convertible waistband

We built the elastic waistband with an interior drawstring. You can keep it pulled flat for a smooth waistline or fold the band over to expose the cord for a relaxed break at the hip.

Fleece backing

The knit is smooth on the outside with a brushed fleece interior that traps warmth. Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and dry flat or tumble low to protect the soft nap of the fleece.
