We cut this matching sweatsuit from fleece-backed jersey in a clean light grey. The top has a wide crew neckline and dropped shoulders, while the trousers fall straight from a drawstring waist down through a generous hem. It packs light and keeps its shape after a long day of travel.

The details we cut in

Crewneck top cut

The pullover top is cut loose through the body with dropped shoulder seams and ribbed cuffs. We skipped the hood to keep the collar clean under outerwear, leaving enough room across the chest for a base layer.

Convertible drawstring waistband

The wide-leg sweatpants feature an elasticated waistband with an interior drawstring. You can leave the band tall to hide the cord or fold it down once at the hip to show the tie. Deep inset pockets sit flat at the side seams.

Lofted fleece interior

A smooth knit exterior pairs with a brushed fleece lining throughout both pieces. The knit provides warmth on cold mornings without adding heavy bulk or restricting movement through the knees and elbows.

Cold water care

Wash the set together in cold water on a gentle cycle to preserve the soft fleece nap. Turn both pieces inside out before laundering and line dry or tumble dry on low heat.
