Tiered ruffles give the outer shell its volume, while fitted shorts sit underneath for coverage on the move. We gathered the high waistband on elastic and threaded it with an adjustable drawcord. The lightweight fabric hangs loosely around the thigh.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Tiered ruffle hem
We stacked overlapping ruffle tiers across the outer skirt to build volume. The hem flares wide to keep movement unrestricted through each stride.
Inner liner shorts
A pair of soft knit shorts is stitched directly into the waistband under the ruffled shell. They stay close to the leg while the outer skirt floats free.
Elastic drawcord waist
The high-rise waistband holds a wide interior elastic band that sits flat against the waist. We finished the front with an adjustable matching drawcord to set the tension.
Cold water care
Wash this piece by hand or run it on a gentle machine cycle in cold water with like colours. Hang or line dry to protect the gathered seams. Avoid bleach.
