We cut this ruffled skort with an inner short layer beneath two tiers of lightweight white cloth. The elastic waistband sits high and adjusts with an exposed drawcord. It moves freely through the hem while keeping full coverage underneath.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Tiered ruffle hem
Two stacked tiers create an open hem that flares as you walk. The fabric hangs lightly off the lower seam without pulling or catching across the stride.
Inner liner shorts
Beneath the outer ruffled shell, we built in a pair of fitted undershorts. They share the same top waistband and remain concealed under the flare of the skirt.
Drawstring waistband
The elastic band rests high on the waist and gathers the fabric evenly all around. An adjustable front drawcord lets you cinch or loosen the fit as needed.
Cold water care
Wash on a gentle cycle in cold water with similar light colours, or wash by hand. Hang the skirt to dry along a line and do not use bleach.
