We built this piece with an inner short under tiered ruffle panels so the hem moves freely during walking, running, or court sports. The high waistband stays put with an encased elastic band and a front drawcord. Army green gives the lightweight woven fabric a practical, muted tone.

The details we cut in
Tiered outer hem
The outer skirt is constructed in gathered ruffle tiers that fall away from the hips. The wide opening gives your stride full clearance, while the woven cloth maintains a loose, light drape through every movement.
Underlying knit shorts
Hidden beneath the ruffled tiers is a fitted inner short. We set flat seams through the rise and inseam to sit smoothly against the leg, keeping the skort secure whether you are playing tennis or out on a trail.
Elastic drawstring waistband
The wide waistband holds a broad elastic band that rests high on the waist without rolling down. We ran a matching fabric drawcord through the front channel so you can adjust the tension as needed.
Cold water wash
Wash this skort in cold water on a gentle machine cycle with matching colours, or wash it by hand. Hang it up to air dry. Skip the bleach to preserve the army green colour and elasticity.
