We cut this cold-weather hood from high-pile sherpa fleece with an integrated neck panel that tucks into your coat collar. Side cords adjust the face aperture, while the drop-down mask panel pulls over the nose or settles under the chin. It folds flat into a pack pocket.

Sherpa fleece build
The lofted fleece traps warm air across the scalp, ears, and neck. It is soft to the touch, pliable enough to pack into a pocket, and roomy enough over tied hair.
Adjustable face opening
Dual drawcords cinch the opening close to the cheeks when the wind picks up. The lower section pulls up over the nose or slides down beneath the chin.
Extended lower drape
We cut the base long so the fabric settles flat across the collarbone and shoulders. It slides directly beneath heavy parkas to close off drafts around the neckline.
Cold water care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colors to maintain the loft of the fleece. Lay it flat or hang it up to air dry away from direct heat.
