We cut this fleece hood with generous room through the crown and an extended neck panel that tucks flat beneath a coat collar. Dual side drawcords let you pull the face opening close around the nose or drop the front beneath the chin. Soft lofted fleece supplies warmth without the stiffness of structured headwear.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Hood and face panel
Dual side cords cinch the opening around the face when the wind picks up. You can pull the front up over the bridge of the nose, drop it under the chin, or push the hood back to wear it as a neck gaiter.
Extended neck gaiter
The lower panel drops low past the collarbone to tuck directly into jackets and sweaters. This keeps drafty gaps closed around the throat and upper chest without adding bulk under an outer zipper.
Plush fleece fabric
We chose a high-pile fleece in soft pink that retains loft while staying light. The interior feels smooth, and the material compresses flat to pack into a jacket pocket or travel bag when not in use.
Washing and care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle to keep the fleece texture soft and free of matting. Line dry or tumble dry on low heat without fabric softeners to maintain the loft of the pile.
