We cut this tunic in a lightweight blend with stretch so the knit falls cleanly past the hip. The neckline overlaps into a shallow V, framed by soft gathers at the shoulder and small pleats down the front chest. Long sleeves finish in gathered ruffle cuffs.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Neckline and front pleats
An overlapped band creates the V-neck without pulling tight across the collarbone. Below the notch, we stitched small vertical pleats that give the chest room to drape naturally over the body.
Sleeve and ruffle cuff
The long sleeves gather lightly at the shoulder seam for a soft puff. Each wrist ends in an elasticated cuff that flares into a short self-fabric ruffle, keeping the sleeve in place when pushed up.
Knit fabric drape
We chose a rayon and synthetic knit with added stretch. The cloth feels smooth to the touch, holds the pink and green yarn-dyed pattern clearly, and resists clinging through the waist and hem.
Washing and care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle or wash by hand. Hang the tunic to dry so the sleeve ruffles and front pleats retain their shape, and use a low iron if you need to press out packing folds.
