We cut this tunic from a flexible knit jersey dyed in a deep purple. The neckline is constructed with an overlapped V-band that sits flat across the collarbone, leading into soft front pleating. Long puff sleeves gather at the shoulder and taper down to a clean cuff.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Overlapped neckline
The front is built with a crossed V-neck band that lies flat against the chest. Small vertical pleats drop from the center join, giving the midsection extra ease through the body.
Puff sleeve construction
We gathered the fabric at the top of the shoulder seam to create a modest puff. The long sleeves taper down the arm toward the wrist, finishing with a tidy hemmed edge.
Flexible jersey knit
The fabric is a lightweight knit blend with built-in stretch that drapes closely without feeling stiff. It breathes easily in transitional weather and holds its purple dye through repeated wash cycles.
Wash and press care
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, or wash by hand in cool water. Hang the garment or lay it flat to dry, and use a low iron setting if you wish to press out fold lines.
