We cut this tunic with narrow pleats across the chest that open into a loose body. The three-quarter sleeves end midway down the forearm, and the hem curves lower at the front and back. It is sewn from a light, opaque woven fabric in a woven orange and blue plaid pattern.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Chest pleating
Small stitched pleats run across the front chest panel before releasing into the lower body. This adds ease through the middle without adding bulk at the shoulders.
Three-quarter sleeve
The sleeves are set plain at the shoulder and cut to end between the elbow and the wrist. The cuff is finished with a clean turned hem that sits flat against the arm.
Curved hem
The lower edge is cut on a gentle upward curve at the side seams, dipping lower across the front and back panels. This shape allows the fabric to drape cleanly over trousers or skirts.
Fabric and care
The lightweight woven cloth is opaque and holds its shape through the wash. Machine wash cold, tumble dry on low heat, or line dry. A warm iron removes packing folds.
