We cut this two-piece lounge set from a lightweight knit with crosswise stretch. The top has a deep V-neckline and short sleeves, balanced by loose shorts with deep front pockets and an adjustable cord at the waist. The apricot tone runs through both pieces.

What went into it

The details we cut in

V-neck and side slits

We shape the top with an open V-neckline and short set-in sleeves. The hem sits below the waist and finishes with small side slits that let the knit drape naturally over the shorts.

Elastic waist and cord

The shorts pull on over an elastic band that sits at the natural waist. A flat drawstring through the waistband lets you cinch or loosen the fit across the hips.

Hand pockets

We sew two deep patch pockets into the front of the shorts. They sit flat against the leg when empty and carry small items without pulling down the waistband.

Fabric care

Wash this knit set by hand or on a gentle machine cycle in cool water. Skip the bleach and dry flat or line dry to keep the yarn soft; use a cool iron if needed.
