We cut this open front sweater from a textured pink knit with plenty of give. The long sleeves end in ribbed cuffs detailed with gold buttons, while the straight hem drops below the hip. Two front patch pockets sit square at the hips.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Textured knit fabric
The yarn has give and a light, open body that hangs straight without clinging. It keeps its shape through the day and layers smoothly over light woven shirts or fine jerseys.
Cuff and button detail
We finished the long sleeves with deep ribbed cuffs. Small gold buttons line the edge of each wrist, giving the sleeve a clean finish that stays put when pushed up the forearm.
Front patch pockets
Two open pockets sit flat on the lower panels. We knit them deep enough for small essentials and bound the top edges so they will not sag after repeated wear.
Care and wash
Wash on a cold cycle with like colours to preserve the pink tone. Lay flat on a rack or towel to dry rather than hanging, which keeps the knit from stretching out.
