Square neckline

The neckline is cut wide and square across the front and back. It lies flat against the collarbone without pulling when the smocked torso expands.

Smocked bodice

Elastic thread runs in close parallel rows through the chest and waist. The gather holds firm against the body and releases above the hips into the peplum.

Puff sleeves

Each sleeve gathers at the shoulder seam to create volume through the upper arm. Elasticated cuffs keep the long sleeves resting neatly at the wrist.

Fabric and care

The lightweight woven cloth carries a warm leopard spot pattern. Machine wash or hand wash in cold water without bleach, then line dry to preserve the elastic gathering.
