We cut this tunic with a fitted smocked bodice that gives way to a relaxed peplum hem. The square neckline frames the collar, while the long puff sleeves are gathered at the shoulder and finished with elastic at the wrist. The details we cut in

Square neckline and smocking

The square neckline sits flat across the chest and back. Beneath it, rows of elastic smocking run through the bodice, providing flexible hold that sits close without pulling across the bust.

Gathered puff sleeves

The long sleeves feature gathered volume at the shoulder seam. Elasticated cuffs keep the sleeve in place at the wrist or allow you to push the fabric up along the forearm.

Peplum hemline

Below the smocked section, the lower body opens into a loose peplum. The fabric drops freely past the waist, giving the hem room to move and drape naturally over your waistband.

Care and print

The botanical pattern sets an apricot ground against muted army green floral stems. Machine wash or hand wash in cold water without bleach, then hang the top on a line to dry.
