We cut this tunic with a close smocked bodice and an open square neckline. The gathered fabric gives through the chest before releasing into a loose peplum hem. Long puff sleeves finish with elasticated wrists so you can push them up or wear them long.

The details we cut in

Square neckline

The neckline is cut straight across the collarbone and finished with clean internal facing. It stays flat against the chest while the gathered smocking begins directly underneath.

Smocked bodice

Elastic thread runs in close horizontal rows across the torso. The smocking holds the fabric close to the body with full mechanical stretch before opening into the flared lower tier.

Puff long sleeves

We gathered the sleeve heads at the shoulder seam to create volume through the upper arm. Narrow elastic cuffs hold the wrists in place without binding.

Fabric and wash care

This lightweight woven cloth carries a hot pink floral print across the surface. Machine wash cold or hand wash without bleach, then line dry to preserve the smocking tension.
