We cut this tunic with an elasticated smocked bodice that holds close through the torso before releasing into a loose peplum. The neckline sits wide and square across the collarbone. Long sleeves finish with gathered shoulders and elastic at the cuffs to keep their volume.

The details we cut in

Square neckline

We cut the neckline wide and straight across the front and back. It lies flat against the chest and leaves room around the collarbone without slipping off the shoulder line.

Smocked bodice and peplum

Elastic thread runs in close horizontal rows through the chest and waist. Below the smocking, the fabric drops free into a flared hem that clears the hips.

Gathered puff sleeve

The long sleeves are gathered into the armhole for lift at the shoulder. Elastic at the wrist lets you push the cuff up the forearm or wear it down.

Brown paisley print

The lightweight woven cloth carries a dense paisley pattern in warm brown tones. Wash on a gentle cold cycle and hang on a line to dry.
