We cut this long rain jacket with a waterproof woven shell in pale light blue and backed it with a soft striped cotton lining. The body falls past the hip for extra coverage against wind and damp roads. An internal drawstring lets you gather the waist, while the front zip closes all the way up to the hood.

The details we cut in
Hood and collar
The attached hood is cut deep enough to shed rain away from the face. It joins the high collar along the front zipper, and woven drawstrings let you pull the rim close when the wind picks up.
Waist and pockets
An interior drawstring sits at the natural waistline so you can cinch the middle or leave the shell hanging loose. Deep front pockets sit square on the hips to hold small essentials.
Fabric and lining
The lightweight outer cloth is tightly woven and coated to shed moisture and block wind. Inside, we line the body and hood with a breathable striped cotton that feels soft against bare arms.
Care and handling
Wash on a gentle machine cycle or rinse by hand in cool water. Hang the coat to dry. Do not iron the shell, as direct heat can damage the waterproof finish on the fabric.
