What went into it
The details we cut in
Hood and collar
The attached hood joins a high collar cut to close off wind. We threaded drawstrings through the rim so you can cinch the opening down over a knit cap during steady showers.
Waistband and fit
We placed an internal drawstring channel through the waist. Pull the cords to draw the coat closer to the body, or leave them loose for a straight, relaxed drape over a midweight sweater.
Shell and striped lining
The outer fabric is a quick-drying coated synthetic weave paired with a soft striped cotton lining inside. The double-layer build keeps the shell from sticking to bare arms when damp.
Front pockets and care
Two patch pockets sit at the front waist with fold-over flaps. Wash by hand or use a gentle machine cycle, line dry, and skip the iron so the waterproof coating stays sound.
