We cut this long trench coat from a coated weave in solid brown and backed it with a striped lining. The waist pulls in with an interior drawstring to alter the straight hang of the shell. Deep front pockets hold daily items, and the attached hood stays anchored with round cords.

The details we cut in
Shell and lining
We use a lightweight, windproof outer weave treated to shed moisture across all seasons. Inside, a soft striped lining sits flat against intermediate layers without catching on wool or fleece.
Hood and neck
The attached hood is cut deep enough to clear a knit cap. Round drawstrings thread through metal eyelets at the collar so you can cinch the opening against wind.
Waist and pockets
An internal drawstring lets you gather the midsection or leave it loose along the side seams. Two patch pockets sit low on the front panels for gloves and keys.
Care instructions
Wash by hand or run on a gentle machine cycle with cold water, then hang to dry. Skip the iron to preserve the outer shell coating.
