We cut this hooded rain jacket long through the body with a smooth waterproof shell in clear orange. The interior is lined with striped cotton to add weight and keep the synthetic fabric off your layers. A waist drawcord lets you pull the middle closer or leave it straight.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Hood and waist cords
The hood attaches cleanly at the collar and pulls snug with a dyed cord. At the waist, an internal tunnel holds a matching drawstring so you can cinch the middle or let the coat hang straight down to the hem.
Striped cotton lining
Inside the waterproof polyester shell, we run a striped cotton lining through the torso. It adds a light layer of warmth, breaks the wind, and gives the coat structure when you leave the front zipper undone.
Front pocket placement
We set two deep pockets on the lower front for your hands and daily carry. The pocket flaps sit flat against the hip and keep light rain from running straight into the opening while you walk.
Wash and care
Rinse mud off the shell or wash the coat on a gentle machine cycle with cold water. Hang it up to dry naturally. Do not touch the coated outer fabric with a hot iron, as heat breaks down the waterproofing.
