We cut this quarter zip layer in a quick drying fabric rated UPF 50+ by the mill. The stand collar fastens high with a soft chin guard, while thumbholes anchor the long sleeves over the wrists. The blue botanical print is set on a light ground with flat seams throughout.

What went into it

The details we cut in

Collar and quarter zip

A stand collar extends upward to cover the base of the neck. The short zipper ends in a fabric garage to keep the metal pull away from your chin.

Thumbhole cuffs

The sleeves are cut long through the arm. Wide cuffs finish with slit thumbholes that hold the fabric flat across the back of the hand as you move.

Side pockets

Two pockets are set along the forward side seams to take small items. They sit flat against the body when empty to avoid bulk under outer packs.

Care and wash

Wash on a cold cycle with like colours. Tumble dry on low heat or hang dry to preserve the stretch and the surface texture of the knit.
