We cut this outdoor pullover from a lightweight quick-dry knit with a UPF 50+ maker rating. The stand collar fastens with a quarter zip and a soft chin guard, while the sleeves finish with cut-out thumb loops to keep the cuffs in place. The dip-dyed gradient shifts from blue down into warm orange.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Collar and quarter zip
The stand collar sits high against the neck and opens with a short front zip. We added a fabric guard at the top stop so the metal stays off the throat when closed.
Sleeve with thumb loop
The long sleeves run down to flat-stitched cuffs with integrated thumbholes. Sliding your thumbs through holds the lower edge steady over the back of the hand while you move.
Side seam pockets
We set discreet pockets directly into the side seams. They sit flat against the hip when empty and hold light trail items without distorting the line of the torso.
Care and quick dry
The synthetic knit dries fast after a rinse on the trail or a machine wash. Wash cold on a gentle cycle, skip the fabric softener, and hang to dry.
