We cut this lightweight rain shell from a thin, coated woven fabric that sheds drizzle and dries fast on the line. It remains unlined to pack down into its own carry pouch without bulk. An elastic waistband gathers the middle, and the hood draws close against the breeze.

What went into it
The details we cut in
Hood and front zip
The hood carries an adjustable drawcord to pull the brim close around the face in a steady wind. Down the front, we set a coated zipper that runs clean to the chin to help keep road spray out.
Elastic waistband
We stitched an elastic channel through the waist to give the loose body definition without extra belt hardware. The lower hem falls past the hip, balanced by two deep front patch pockets for keys and small gear.
Coated woven fabric
The rose pink shell is a dense, featherweight weave treated to shed light rain and wind. Because it is unlined, the lighter pink tone has a slight translucence over dark underlayers.
Packing and care
This coat folds small into the included pouch for a pack or tote. To protect the water-resistant coating, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or rinse in cold water, and avoid the washing machine.
