We cut this unlined shell from a light, quick-drying woven fabric with a water-resistant coating. The light green cloth is thin enough to fold down into its matching pouch. It closes with a coated front zip to turn wind and misty rain on the trail.

The hood is cut with an adjustable drawcord to pull the brim close around the face. The collar stands upright when the front zip is pulled all the way to the top.
Waist and pockets
An elastic casing gathers the waist to keep the volume close to the body in a breeze. Two deep front patch pockets sit below the waistline for small essentials.
Fabric and weight
This is a thin polyester weave with a water-repellent finish on the outer face. The unlined construction keeps the total weight light and lets the jacket pack down small.
